Join Us In Supporting Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche's Retreat Center

Among the many dharma activities of Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche, one of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s oldest and dearest vajra brothers, the construction of a retreat center in Yangleshö, Pharping, Nepal, is one of the most important. In 2013, Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche visited and blessed the land. Construction of the Sangchen Pema Chhöling Retreat Center began in 2017 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

The center will be open to practitioners of all ages and levels of practice, for both short-term and long-term retreat. The multi-level retreat facility will have a public shrine room on the main floor, a dining hall, and a large shared kitchen. The upper floor will host living space for lamas. Some of the retreat spaces will be suites, equipped with private showers, toilets, and kitchenettes. Some will accommodate Tsa-lung and dark retreats.

Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche is a realized Dzogchen master of the Nyingma lineage, unique in having accomplished the complete path of maha, anu, and atiyoga. Rinpoche’s vision and guidance in creating this extraordinary support for genuine dharma practice is truly inspiring. As Rinpoche says, “A retreat center such as Sangchen Pema Chhöling is especially important at this degenerate time. It will provide an incredibly rare opportunity to practice and accomplish the genuine wisdom Dharma at the blessed place of Guru Rinpoche in Yangleshö and continue the authentic transmission of Dharma in the world.”
