Honoring the Sixth Anniversary of Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche's passing into Parinirvana

December 20th marks the sixth lunar anniversary of Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche’s passing into parinirvana, or dechö in Tibetan. The dechö of a lineage master presents a profound opportunity for practice. Lama Tharchin Rinpoche especially recommended guru yoga to awaken the uncontrived, uncontaminated, primordial state of enlightenment that is our own natural, indwelling state of being. Rinpoche said: “The point of guru yoga is to train in merging our mind with our lama’s wisdom mind and to have those qualities of wisdom and compassion that we glimpse within our lama’s mind inhabit our own mind.” 

To support our practice during this special time, for the next month Heart Teachings is offering free video and audio streaming of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche’s 2006 teaching, Distinguishing Between the Right and Wrong Path. Rinpoche explained:

“This teaching comes from our lord protector Kyabje Dungse Rinpoche’s personal notes which I received from him almost 15 years ago. At that time, Rinpoche said that he had written this teaching down forty years earlier. The text is short but the meaning is so profound… describing very clearly the right point of view, how not to follow the wrong point of view, and how to distinguish between these two. The author’s writing skill is so incredible, beautiful and inspiring. I hope hearing these teachings will benefit your spiritual practice.”
