Lama Sherab Rinpoche's Wisdom Advice

“My root lama and uncle, Lama Sherab Rinpoche, used to say, 'The mandala of space is vast enough to contain the whole universe with lots of room left over. It is never too tight. In the same way, in the presence of awareness, the whole sky fits perfectly in the mandala of your mind. It is never too small to contain the whole sky.'

You know, when you’re doing visualization practice, sometimes you mentally create the visualization, and your mind becomes tight. But this way of meditating truly comes from the heart. Experiencing the completely open, vast, clear, luminous state, of course, you will have deep satisfaction. In this state, you don’t have any extremes of view – the view is perfect; meditation – there’s no need for effort; and conduct – there’s no need for accepting and rejecting, applying mental antidotes, or anything. It’s just perfect."
