Lama Tharchin Rinpoche gives a detailed explanation of the Dakini Heart Essence (Khandro Tuk-Tik), a mind treasure of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche. This series explains the sadhana practice word-for-word, gives instruction for set up of shrine, music, chöpön (shrine attendant) activities, and other ritual matters. Rinpoche performs the entire sadhana on tape, as well. In this way he ensures that any practitioner who wishes to do this practice will have complete instruction on every facet. Even if one never intends to do in-depth practice on the Khandro Tuk-Tik sadhana, there is a wealth of knowledge, which is incidental in Rinpoche’s explanations of the ritual that will deepen one's understanding of what is happening on so many different levels during the sadhana. (Ever wonder what a Torma really signifies? You'll get the answers to this and many more of your questions in this series.) The instructions are also relevant to any mahayoga practice.
