Teaching 1: 2012-05-28; Teaching 2: 2012-06-01

Teaching 1: 48 min

The first of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche's teachings from Vajrayana Foundation's Summer Retreat 2012 on Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche's "Dorsem Lama Chopa" Vajrasattva practice. Rinpoche introduces the Vajrayana view of transforming our afflictive emotions into wisdom & the Dzogchen view of directly recognizing these emotions as wisdom. Through deity practice, we use the symbolic form of the deity to experience pure wisdom phenomena. Through repeating & stabilizing that experience, we gain realization of the ultimate deity, which is dharmakaya. Although these teachings were based on Vajrasattva practice, they are a great introduction to deity practice in general.

Teaching 2: Running Time: 43 min

The second of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche's teachings on Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche's Vajrasattva practice "Dorsem Lama Chopa (Chariot of Great Merit)" from Vajrayana Foundation's Summer Retreat 2012. Through this practice of offering to the lama, the embodiment of Buddha Vajrasattva, we receive the blessings to gain meditative experience leading to realization of our natural state of enlightened Buddha nature. Rinpoche uses the Vajrasattva practice as a basis for providing guidance that can be of benefit to all mahayoga practitioners.
