LTR Teaching 1: June 14, 2010; Running Time: 52 minutes

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche introduces the special qualities of the dharma and drupchen based upon the Collection of Seven Treasures. This is a compilation of treasures requested directly by Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal to Dudjom Rinpoche, asking him to bring all of these old treasure collections synthesizing them in one river of blessings. It is her prescription for our degenerate times. Rinpoche explains how we should aspire to experience and realize the dharma rather than just learning the dharma on a mental level, going beyond dualistic conceptual mind. Through faith, devotion, and truly trusting in the qualities of the dharma, Guru Rinpoche’s blessings penetrate us to blossom our own original buddha nature, the essence of our mind.

Rinpoche focuses on the mantra section and guru yoga, beginning with “Nang Si Zhal Yay….Me Par Gom.” He introduces the basic visualization for the mantra recitation and describes why we visualize the deity in mahayoga. Rinpoche teaches how to develop unshakeable faith and quality dharma practice in order to receive Guru Rinpoche’s blessings to permanently free us from samsara.

LTR Teaching 2: Unknown date (between June 16-20); Running Time: 33 minutes

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche begins by leading the sangha in the chanting of the Vajra Guru Mantra for over four minutes. He then talks about the special blessings of the Guru Rinpoche statue and doing this practice of Guru Rinpoche drupchen in this sacred place blessed by enlightened beings, such as Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche. Rinpoche describes our great fortune of practicing the dharma and what it means to be Buddhist and to truly practice.
